In 2005 southern Sweden's forests were hit by a storm that felled or damaged 250 million trees. Contractors with a thousand machines were called in from all over Europe. This programme on the work needed to clear the devastation features timber processors, excavators, loglifts, quay-side cranes, trucks and loaders of many ages & types. The entire process of felling, logging and hauling to timber transporters and enormous storage sites features including the loading into railway trucks and sea vessels. Available May 85 minutes.
