A programme of five black & white films from the Royal Mail Film Library totalling to some 73 minutes featuring aspects of life in the 1930s produced by some exceptionally talented people including John Grierson. The films are Granton Trawler (fishing on the Viking Bank 1934); Coal Face (coal mining at various locations 1935); A Job in a Million (A GPO messenger boy training 1937); Spare Time (Steel, Coal & Cotton workers in their spare time 1939); The City (Growth & Development of London & the GPO underground railway 1939).
