|Federal, one of the few independents from Detroit produced a good truck at a good price. Federal assembled from 1910 to 1959 over 160,000 trucks for all types of uses including vans, buses, garbage trucks, and heavy haulers. During WWII they produced over 11,300 military vehicles. After the war it introduced the Star Liner range in 1950. Later in 1957 it introduced a revised Golden Eagle series. Prodction of all Federal trucks ended two years later.
