A Pictorial History of BRS was first published in 1982 by MHB/Warne and within two years the book was out of print. Since then it has been high on the wants list of many road transport enthusiasts. Written by Nick Baldwin it was arguably one of the first illustrated books on the then contemporary road haulage scene that presented the subject seriously in both its picture and story content. In November the book will again be available, this time as a facsimile reprint published under Nynehead's Roundoak imprint. The book, which details the evolution of BRS from its inception to the days of the NFC, features around 250 black & white and colour images in its 128 pages, these supporting the author's informative and well researched text. Whilst the black & white content is as per the original book, we have taken the opportunity to rescan, with the help of Peter Davies, the majority of the colour images that appeared in the first book to improve their presentation. Those who have seen the original book will know that the colours, especially red, suffered from over-saturation., this - needless to say - was not the fault of the photographer but of those who originally scanned the images. We are only undertaking a limited print run of A Pictorial History of BRS and would suggest to those who might be interested in purchasing a copy that they order rather sooner that later. 128 pages, over 250 black & white and colour images, hardback. 25th Anniversary Offer price £18.50, normal price £24.50
