In 2005 southern Sweden's forests were hit by a storm that felled or damaged 250 million trees. Contractors with a thousand machines were called in from all over Europe. This programme on the work needed to clear the devastation features timber processors, excavators, loglifts, quay-side cranes, trucks and loaders of many ages & types. The entire process of felling, logging and hauling to timber transporters and enormous storage sites features including the loading into railway trucks and sea vessels. Available 85 minutes.
The second programme majors on the work needed to clear the devastation. Among the processors shown are an Atlas Konigstiger and a Timbco Logmax 5000. Exciting footage shows Timberjack Skidders operated by Bosnian contractors. Transporters include Sisu, Saurer and MAN.
